As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Kelsey is a senior executive tasked with overseeing the day to day administration and operation functions of Nave Law Firm. Having this role within a law firm, allows the attorneys to focus on the practice of law, which provides clients with better service and results.
As the Chief Operating Officer, Sean focuses on executing the firm’s business plan, according to the established business model and goals set forth by the team. Items of focus include overseeing company strategy, spearheading new initiatives, setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and overseeing daily operations of the company (IT, Marketing, Finance, HR, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Philanthropic, Customer service, etc.).
Sean is also responsible for establishing polices that promote company culture and helps direct the firm’s mission and vision. For Nave Law to succeed, Mr. Kelsey believes we need to ensure that all the people within the organization appreciate all clients and potential clients because there is an overwhelming number of attorneys available to hire. “I don’t let the wide availability of other attorneys distract me from realizing what others do not; behind every “client” is a person who needs help, who needs guidance and protection in one of their most significant times of need. My love and passion for what I do are ignited when I can show potential clients, current clients, and our team just how powerful our work is and how we make a difference every day”. In focusing on making a difference, we are allowed to put people before profits.
Sean is a graduate of the inaugural Executive Leadership Development Series. The program brought local business leaders and educational institutions together to focus on Transformational Leadership. They use a collaborated effort provided by Columbia College, Syracuse College, Whitman School of Management, and University College at Syracuse University, Empire State College, and Leadership Greater Syracuse. Sean’s professional awards include Excellence in Leadership Award as well as the Employee of the Year Award.
Why Do I Do What I Do?
“People. I love what I do because of the people; the clients, the potential clients, the employees, the vendors, the competitors, they all motivate me.”
I am a firm believer in our people. I believe that we have the BEST staff possible, not just for any law firm, but ANY business. They work with a purpose, and they are passionate about what they do and how they do it. Without our people, I genuinely feel like we would be like most businesses that struggle to find their identity. Our identity is our people.
I appreciate all of our clients and potential clients because I understand that there is an overwhelming amount of attorneys available to hire. I know that behind every “client” is a person who needs help, who needs guidance and protection in one of their most significant times of need.
I am confident that the thousands of people that have decided to trust Nave Law Firm to represent them are not misplaced. It makes me even more determined to show the power of what we do by striving for the best possible result after every case. My goal is to make sure that all of our clients leave the firm with the peace of mind that we protected, advocated, and worked hard for them.
I appreciate all of our vendors that ensure we have all the products and services needed to ensure we provide the best for our employees and clients.
I also appreciate our competitors. They motivate me to reach the highest standards. Competition ensures we are innovative and that we continue to provide an excellent place for our employees to work and grow. Clients, competitors, employees, and vendors, I realize every day how much I love what I do. That’s why this is an experience that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
