Sara Mabee

I’m a senior at the University at Albany, double majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology with a minor in Sociology. My academic and professional journey has been driven by a strong commitment to criminal law and a deep interest in how the legal system intersects with human behavior and social justice.

With plans to attend law school after graduation, I am focused on pursuing a career as a criminal defense attorney. I’m passionate about advocating for individuals and ensuring that every person receives fair and effective representation, regardless of their circumstances. I believe that true justice requires empathy, critical thinking, and a willingness to stand up for what’s right, values that I carry into every opportunity I’m part of.

I do what I do because I believe in standing up for people when they’re at their most vulnerable. Being charged with a crime is often one of the scariest moments in someone’s life, and everyone deserves support, respect, and someone in their corner. In my role, I do everything I can to make the legal process less overwhelming. Whether that means helping prepare for court, keeping things organized behind the scenes, or just being a steady point of contact. It’s important to me that each client feels like their case matters, because it does. This work is more than a stepping stone to law school, it’s a reflection of my commitment to justice, fairness, and real advocacy.
