Laura M. Twichell

Laura is a Senior Attorney at Nave Law. Her practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and trial litigation. Laura was born and raised in Fayetteville, New York. After graduating from Bucknell University, she earned her J.D. at Wake Forest School of Law. She gained her first trial experience working as a public defender in Dare County, North Carolina, before moving into private practice in the same area. After 8 years of practice in North Carolina, Laura returned home to the Syracuse area to serve the community she grew up in. She brings years of both defense and prosecutorial trial litigation experience to Nave Law.

Why Do I Do What I Do?

I believe that all people charged with a crime deserve to have their rights protected, and I know that the justice system is far from perfect at protecting those rights. The courtroom can be an intimidating and overwhelming place for those who are unfamiliar with the legal process. My goals are to make sure my clients understand each step of the process, to fight to protect their rights, and to secure the best possible outcome in every case.
