Nave CARES is our unique way to increase the well-being of community members through a program of philanthropy. Our commitment is twofold. First, to foster an environment where people come before profits. We believe if we put people first, we can create, develop, and implement systems of change. Second, it is to provide valuable resources that allow members of our community to grow. We feel that when we help each other grow, that is the best of humanity.
CARES also stands for our core values, which we define as:
Every day, we strive to enhance the total client experience through a commitment to delivering solutions and services that help our clients be valued members of society.
Accountability and integrity are at the core of everything we do. We are accountable for our actions to our clients, our community, and to each other. We do not make commitments; we do not intend to keep.
We foster an environment of teamwork and mutual respect. We respect each other, our clients, our community, our competition, and are unwilling to abandon each other, even during the worst of circumstances.
Beyond caring about each other and our clients, we must always try to understand the cause of someone’s behavior, accept them, and treat them as we’d like to be treated.
We collaborate with others to maximize our knowledge and to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of any separate effect.
WHAT IS NAVE CARES
Our Mission & Goals
Let’s be fair. The idea that lawyers are people only feeding off the misfortune of others is not a new one. But, that’s not what we want to be. Our main mission at Nave is to our clients and community more than is expected of our people and our services. The Nave Team knows that helping people with legal issues is the surface level issue, but our assistance is meant to help make the lives of them and their family easier and safer. In turn, Nave CARES is meant to be more than just simple nonprofit and community support. We want to make a difference in our community by helping others become engaged in local nonprofits.
We also realize that issues such as addiction is a huge issue plaguing our and many other communities. We hope that by giving aid and support to those who suffer, we can make treatment more readily available to help people get back to healthy and happy lives. With support, prevention, and advocacy, addiction and substance abuse can have a happier ending.
R2RCNY: April Highlight
Nonprofit of the Month
Road2RecoveryCNY is a non-profit organization founded by Darlene and Tim Endy out of gratitude for their son’s recovery.
Road2RecoveryCNY is committed to financially underwriting victims-in-need of long-term, 12-step, treatment programs—and programs that are far away from the settings of their addiction. Entering only its third year of existence, R2RCNY has already sent 22 young-persons from central New York to such treatment: now with a better-than-seventy-percent success rate.
The motto of R2RCNY is: saving lives one at a time.
And this is precisely what it does. Its all-volunteer team is working tirelessly to raise funds to assist other young addicts onto the pathway to renewed life: and needs the help of anyone who can donate or volunteer (or both) as it struggles to keep pace with this desperate need.
Disclaimer: We are not recommending any of these facilities, simply providing options.
We have not received, nor would we ever take any money to provide support information.
